To date, over 275 colleges and universities have accepted applicants using the Mastery Transcript. Building off this success, MTC has also released a similar competency-based learning record that can be sent alongside traditional transcripts. Admission officers have noted that Mastery Transcript users are more adept at identifying and articulating their skills and identities, especially with respect to what they bring to the institution.
Beyond post high school planning, students in Design Studio can present their Mastery Transcript and/or Learning Record for exhibitions of their own learning and even career planning and/or job application.
Design Studio Admissions so far… using the Mastery Learning Record!
Our current 2023-24 seniors have applied to a variety of programs to pursue a variety of interests and goals. They have been admitted to Boise State University, Big Bend CC (Aviation), Carroll College, Eastern Washington University, Jacksonville University, North Idaho College, Oregon State University, University of Colorado in Boulder, University of Denver, University of Idaho, University of Minnesota, Tulane University, Washington State University, Whitworth University, SFCC, and SCC.
Decisions still pending include: Central Washington University, Eastern Oregon University, Seattle Film Institute, UC Berkeley, University of Washington, and Vanderbilt University.
